Brandon Wilcher, Assistant Principal
I’m excited to join the Herod Elementary team after serving as Assistant Principal at Sugar Grove Academy Middle School, an NES-aligned campus within HISD. With a background in both education and public health, I bring a unique perspective that blends data-driven leadership, instructional coaching, and a commitment to building safe, supportive learning environments. Prior to administration, I taught science and led the Biology department, where I focused on teacher development, curriculum alignment, and student engagement through hands-on learning. My goal at Herod is to support teachers in delivering purposeful, standards-aligned instruction while fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and joy in learning. I’m thrilled to continue serving our students, families, and staff in this next chapter of my leadership journey.
